Carl Dewayne Toombs
Carl Dewayne Toombs, 72, of Pollard, Ark., passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2016, in Lonoke, Ark.
He was born on January 10, 1944, in Pollard, and was the son of the late Hershel Norman Toombs and Rachel Dunlap (Toombs) Gower.
Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Barnett and husband Mike of Lonoke, Ark.; a son, Charles Toombs of Pollard, Ark.; a brother, Phillip Toombs and wife Connie of Maumelle, Ark.; a sister, Carol Toombs Turk of Tampa Fla.; his grandchildren, Marcus Matlock and wife Tammalah of Jacksonville, Ark. and Kristopher Foster of Lonoke, Ark.; a great-grandson, Marcus Matlock Jr. of Jacksonville, Ark. along with many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 25, in the Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home, in Piggott, with George Bearden officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in Pollard. Pallbearers will be J.T. Wilson, Cary Wilson, Phil Toombs, Spencer Permenter, Jim Largent and Scott Anderson. Visitation will be held beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, and will continue until the time of the service at the funeral home.
