A warrant check confirmed Jestus was wanted on a felony warrant in Dunklin County. She was placed in custody, and deputies searched her vehicle during which time they discovered partially-smoked suspected marijuana cigarettes, prescription medication wrapped in a paper towel along with several bags of a white powdery substance and a burned piece of foil.

A closer look revealed a glass pipe with suspected methamphetamine residue, small tubes used for ingesting methamphetamine and digital scales. Books was then placed into custody and transported to the Clay County Detention Center where he was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license, no proof of insurance and defective vehicle equipment.
