Kinders Wrap-Up Summer Reading Program Series

The annual Summer Reading Program, presented by the three Clay County libraries, wrapped-up Wednesday, June 29, with a performance by Brian and Terri Kinder.

The Kinders performed last Tuesday at the Corning Library, and appeared Wednesday, June 29, first at the Rector Library, then later on the square in Piggott.

At Rector a total of 50 adults and 139 children were on hand for the performance. The Rector Public library also awarded top readers and held a coloring contest.

Gold readers were Angie Banks, Kaden Conway, Gracie Stow, Eric Conway, Rylee Wilburn, Liam Jukkola, Samual Shipley, Abbie Cobb, Serenity Golden, Jaydin Stirnaman, and Jacob Mooneyhan. Our Silver readers were Patrick Lucas, Jaxon Burns, Brett Stucks, Montana Stow, and Isabella Boyd.

Gold readers read 30 or more books.

Gold artist awards went to Caleb Branson, Kloey Wyss,Maddie Weaver Shane Branson and Sophia Thompson. Silver artist awards went to Adriana Jackson, Asa Jackson, Asa Mcnabb, Brandon Pruitt, Chloe Steele, Eli Hamm, Isabella Boyd, Jaylan Branson, Luke Mosely, Macy Stirnaman, Madi Baker, Owen Renolds, Raylan Miller, Ricky Golden,and Tyson Vavak.

Later in the morning over 150 children and adults attended the concert, which was held on the courtsquare in Piggott. Piggott State Bank provided treat bags, and water, for the kids and staff members from Aerial Bouquets handed-out sports balloons as well.
