Gary Wayne Maltbie
Gary Wayne Maltbie, 68, of Powhatan, Ark., left us on Sunday, July 17, 2016. Gary shared his blessed talents as a genius mechanic, iron worker and creative builder. He served his country with distinction during the Vietnam War, earning two Bronze Stars and two Purple Hearts.
Surviving are friend, Dianne Barr, of Powhatan; his mother, Etta Bernice Maltbie of Rector; his sons, Sean (Michelle) of Grand Rapids, Mich., Aaron of Flint, Mich. and Matthew of Houston, Tex.; his daughter, Danielle, of Paragould; seven grandchildren, Ajia, Jack, Carlisle, George, Alivia, Ella and Sterling and three great-grandsons, Derek, Grant and Owen.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Amanda, and his father, Charles.
No funeral service will be held, but a gathering for family and friends will be held in the near future.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions and sentiments may be sent to the family in care of Sean Maltbie, P.O. Box 162, Grand Rapids, Mich., 49501. The family noted charitable donations to veteran's organizations in honor of Gary's memory are welcome.
