Betty Charlene Cook of Okeechobee Fla., formerly of Piggott, Ark., passed away at Okeechobee Health Care Facility on August 9, 2016.

She was born January 24, 1950, in Piggott, and was the daughter of Charles Henry and Betty Faye Parker.

She was united in marriage to JD Cook on Sept. 3, 2000.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her infant sister, Carolyn Kay Parker and sister, Patricia Ann James.

Survivors include her husband, JD Cook of Okeechobee, Fla.; daughters Laura Wade and husband Stacy of Baltimore, Md., Stephanie Massey and husband Barney of McDougal, Ark., Amanda Cavaness and husband John of Piggott and son Joey Cook of Piggott. Grandchildren include Josh Dodson and wife Erin of Destin, Fla., Claudia Dodson of Redlion, Penn., Cody Lott of Gideon, Mo., Cierra Lott of Malden, Mo., Josh Cook of Piggott, Stacy Wade Jr. and wife Heather of Waldo, Maine, Keisha Evans and husband Alex of Waldo, Maine, Luke Wade and wife Jessica of Piggott and Autumn Wade of Piggott and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Herbert Robinson officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery. Pallbearers include Danny Settlemoir, Harold Dunlap, Brent Wellman, Brian James, Stan Cook and Paul Wade, Jr. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday and will continue until the time of the service at the funeral home.
