Classes resumed across the region this week, with students returning for the coming year Monday in Rector and Marmaduke, and Tuesday in Piggott.

There are a handful of changes for the coming year, including a new bell schedule at PHS designed to incorporate a free time each morning. Time between classes has also been reduced from five to three minutes at Piggott High School.

Parents are reminded to review their child's student handbook closely, regardless of which district they attend, as all have marked changes.

That's a lot of food for a little guy! Maxx Barrott looks over his full tray at lunch Tuesday at Rector Elementary School as classmate Hayden Hill get set as next in line. Classes began Monday and all RES students are getting in the new swing of things, especially these kindergarten students of teacher Amber Bucy. (TD photo/Ron Kemp)
