Mrs. Edna Roark, 88, of Corning, Ark., went to be with her Lord, surrounded by her loving family, Friday, Sept. 23, 2016, at Corning Therapy and Living Center. Mrs. Roark was born in Naylor, Mo., on September 4, 1928. She was a homemaker, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, fishing, yard sales, playing piano, singing and spending time with her loving family. She was a member of the Apostolic Fellowship Church in McDougal.
She is survived by three sons, Jerry Wayne (Debra) Roark of Doniphan, Mo., Tony (Pam) Roark of Corning and Wendell (Mary Jo) Roark of Corning; two daughters, Linda (Aaron) Naumann of St. Charles, Mo. and Nancy Oliver of Hot Springs; one brother, Sonny Rigdon of McDougal; five sisters, Melda Karnes of Corning, Mamie Adams of McDougal, Fern Bartlett of Malvern, Barbara DeMay of East Prairie, Mo. and Loretta Blankenship of Union City, Tenn.; twelve grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband, Carl Lee Roark; her parents, Jess Vinson and Alice Arthur (Campbell) Rigdon; a brother, J.V. Rigdon; her sister, Daisy Robinson; a granddaughter, Jamey Hovis and son-in-law Ronnie Oliver.
Visitation will be held beginning at noon on Tuesday, Sept. 27, in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel, in Corning. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with pastor Herbert Ellis officiating. Burial will be in the Post Oak Cemetery in McDougal.
