Gaylon "Buck" Raney
Gaylon "Buck" Raney was born at Crockett, Ark., on July 20, 1935, and departed this life September 18, 2016, in Mountain Home, Ark., at the age of 81 years and two months. He was the son of John H. and Neva Ellis Raney, and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dewight Little and three sisters, Dorothy Raney Boozer, Cathy Raney and Sharion Little Marble.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; his four sons, Dewayne "Wayne," James "Jimbo," Ronnie and Diky; two daughters, Gayla Gray and Wendy Jaxton; his sister, Frances Raney; his stepmother, Mazie Raney; four brothers, Johnny, Robert, Max and Roger; two sisters, Janet Murrell and Lisa Simpson; 22 grandchildren a host of great-grandchildren and other family and friends.
He moved to Mountain Home in 1983 from Rockford, Ill. and started his own construction company. He like to fish, hunt and work with his backhoe.
