Donald Pierce, 84, of Corning, Ark., passed away October 3, 2016, at his home.
Mr. Pierce was retired from the Arkansas Highway Police. He was a member of Church of Christ in Boydsville.
On Oct. 2, 1970, he married Helen (Ort) Pierce and she survives.
Other survivors are his children, Donald Lynn Pierce of Cabot and Debby Pence of Corning; sisters Louise Cantwell of St. Peters, Mo., Beulah Greenwood of Doniphan, Mo., Wanda Herren of Corning, Velma Perce of Neelyville, Mo., Sandy Fox of Currentview, Mo. and Betty Pfeifer of Doniphan, Mo.; grandchildren David "Jug" Pence, Shonda Pence, Logan Pence, Sharia Shipman, Matthew Pierce, Kristen Pierce, Judd and Candy along with several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Pierce; parents Irma and Eddie Pierce; brothers Cloyce and Johnny Pierce and a son-in-law, David Pence.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6, at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Herbert Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Corning Cemetery.
