Wayne Kilbreth, 88, of McDougal, Ark., died October 18, 2016, at his home in McDougal. He was born April 11, 1928, in Pollard, Ark., and was a construction worker, farmer and a veteran of the United States Army.
He was married to Evelyn "Rooster" Kilbreth on March 9, 1946, and she preceded him in death on October 26, 2007. He was also preceded in death by his mother, Pearly (Kilbreath) Boshears; two brothers, Oather Kilbreth and J.E. Boshears; one sister, Carmilita Tyler; a son, Thomas Franklin Kilbreth; one granddaughter, Jessie Moore and a great-granddaugter, Randi Lynn Mooneyham.
He was a member of Missionary Baptist Church, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and dominoes.
Survivors include his children, G. S. (Sandy) Kilbreth of Puxico, Mo., John (Chris) Kilbreth of Zalma, Mo., Carolyn (Charles) Pence of McDougal, Jannie Warbritten of Pollard, Wonda (Robert) Moore of Corning, Margaret (Doyle) Dobbins of McDougal, Teresa (Wayne) Overbey of Knobel and Tina Burns of Qulin, Mo.; 21 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20, in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel in Corning with Pastor Robert Moore officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery at Pollard, with Ermert Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held Thursday, from noon until the time of the service, at the funeral home.
