Fay Plummer, 90, of Piggott, Ark., passed away October 20, 2016, at the Piggott Community Hospital, in Piggott.
She was born on September 4, 1926, in Tyronza, Ark., and was the daughter of the late Oscar "Doc" Roark and Ruth Felts.
She was united in marriage to Lee Roy Plummer on Aug. 29, 1942, and to this union two children were born, Doyle Plummer and Mary Fenger.
She attended the United Pentecostal Church in Piggott.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Plummer; one grandson, Brian Plummer and three brothers, Carl Roark, Paul "Sonny" Roark and Charles Roark.
Survivors include her son, Doyle Plummer of Machesney Park, Ill. and daughter, Mary Fenger and husband Mike of South Beloit, Ill; four grandchildren, Michael Fenger and wife Tammy, Tiffanie Fenger, Julie Woodhouse and husband Jeff and Daniel Plummer; six great-grandchildren, Garrett Paravala, Caitlin Porter, Courtney Fenger, Scott Porter, Jacob Woodhouse and Joshua Woodhouse; a great great-grandson, Levi Flannigam; four sisters, Marie Chadwell, Wanda Rice and Janice Hampton all of Piggott, and Doris Cook of Evening Shade, Ark. and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, in the United Pentecostal Church, of Piggott, with Jay Masterson officiating, assisted by Bob Miller of Gamaliel, Ark. Burial was in Post Oak Cemetery in McDougal, Ark. Pallbearers were Paul Roark, Danny Chisolm, Gary Chisolm, David Lack, Bo Blackmon and Zac Trammell. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements. Visitation was held Sunday evening at the church.
