Steven Michael "Mike" Lane
Steven Michael "Mike" Lane, 62, of Jonesboro, Ark., and formerly of Piggott, Ark., passed away on November 1, 2016, at his home. He was born October 3, 1954, in St. Charles, Mo., the son of the late Wandell and Audine (Bearden) Lane and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Lane was a master jeweler, embarking on the career as a teenager as an apprentice silversmith. He was also an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and searching for Indian artifacts. The latter also led to another love, as he was also known as an accomplished flint-knapper.
He is survived by his wife, Meribeth (Burks) Lane of the home; two daughters, Angelia Price and husband Eric of Jonesboro and Krystal Neal and husband Adam of Jonesboro; one son, Dennis Thompson and wife Shauna of Jonesboro; one sister, Susan Lane of Jonesboro; six grandchildren, Felicity Price, Savannah Price, Drew Price, Lilly Neal, Triton Neal and Autumn Thompson along with a host of other family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Metz.
At the request of the family, a private service and disposition will be held at a later date under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Ark.
