Mohawk Football Playoff Journey Continues

With a huge pep rally, student body send-off and police and fire truck escort the Piggott Mohawk football team headed out Friday morning for their second round state playoff game.
The Tribe will face the Prescott Curley Wolves this evening with kickoff set for 7 p.m. To better prepare for the biggest game in program history, the Mohawks are riding a tour bus as opposed to nearly five hours on a school bus.
They'll break for lunch in North Little Rock, and will take part in a walk-through at Henderson State in Arkadelphia late in the afternoon.

A frontal system is also moving through the region, but should move well east of Prescott prior to game time. But, heavy rain and strong winds could impact travel. The usual driving time is about four and a half hours, but traveling through Little Rock can add time to the trip. Weather could also cause delays.
Good luck to the Mohawks.
