'Hounds Hoops Teams in Action

The Marmaduke Lady Greyhounds rebounded from the loss to Pocahontas in the WBC tourney finals the previous week, with a lopsided conference win over Buffalo Island Central Thursday evening by a final score of 49-24.

With the win the Lady 'Hounds extend their season record to 10-4 overall, and a perfect 4-0 in conference play. They were scheduled to visit Marked Tree Tuesday evening, and will make the short trip to Rector on Thursday to take on the Lady Cougars in a set of games which includes the boys squads.

As for the MHS boys team, they visited Marked Tree and dropped a 76-42 decision on Friday night. The Indians came out hot, and led 18-8 by the end of the first quarter. The home team extended the lead to 37-18 by the halftime break, and led 60-33 entering the fourth quarter en route to the conference win.

The Marmaduke boys team was scheduled to visit Bay on Tuesday, and will travel to Rector on Thursday evening for a set with the Cougars. Following last week's action the Greyhounds now stand at 4-6 overall and 2-5 in conference play.

Following Thursday's games with the Cougars, both MHS squads will prep for the upcoming NEARK Invitational Tournament at Kell Classic.
