Wilma Ramer, 82, of Rector, Ark., passed away January 3, 2017, at the Rector Nursing and Rehab. She was born August 20, 1934, to the late John and Jeanette (Meredith) Tracy around the Hargrave Corner area.
She was a member of the Rock Springs United Methodist Church for many years, and worked at Rector Sportswear for 23 years where she made some wonderful friends. Wilma loved to crochet and sew. With this talent, she made hats for people with cancer. She loved spending time on the river with her family and cussing her dog Coco, whom she also adored--and she loved cracking pecans.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Wesley Ramer.
She is survived by her daughters, Terri and Manzo Parrish of Rector, Sharon Ramer of Wappapello, Mo. and Mary Ramer of Rector; her grandchildren, Clayton and Rachel Parrish, Jean and Kevin Bickford, Christal and Shane Green, Joseph Parrish, Samantha and Mike Lopanic, Charlie Blanton and Jessica and Kris Wilson, her great-grandchildren, Morgan Parrish, Libby Parrish, Kody Green, Racheal Green, Matthew Lopanic and Mattie Lopanic along with many children and great-grandchildren that she claimed as her own and loved dearly.
She is also survived by her siblings, Sharon and Russ Gamblin, Tommy and Judy Tracy and Tony and Sally Nelson along with many other relatives and friends.
A service will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5, at Rock Springs United Methodist Church honoring the life of Wilma. All friends and relative are invited.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Special Olympics, Focus School, St. Judes or the Rector Library.
