Joyce Elaine Malin
Joyce Elaine Malin, 80, of Campbell, Mo., passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.
Ms. Malin, daughter of John Arthur and Virgie Marie (Polsgrove) Malin, was born on Wednesday, April 8, 1936, in Campbell, Mo.
Ms. Malin received her Bachelor's degree from the East Michigan University and her Master's degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She lived in Royal Oak, Mich., from 1941 to 1987. She was a retired school teacher and librarian, having taught at Burnham Public School from 1958 to 1965 and serving as the head medical librarian at Henry Ford Hospital, in Detroit, from 1967 to 1980. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Campbell and also attended the Grace (Lutheran) Church in Malden. She was a member of the Daughters of American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy.
Her survivors include one aunt, Joyce Elaine Polsgrove, of Michigan, and many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 14, at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell, with services beginning at 12 noon with Rev. Alan Wollenburg officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell.
