Joeldean Jordan, 74, passed from this earthly life on January 30, 2017, at the Midland Hospital in Papillion, Neb. He was born to William James and Lilly (Gribble) Jordan, who preceded him in death. He was married to Yong Min on Aug. 1, 1972, and to this union one son was born, John David Jordan, of Omaha, Neb.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, James Joel Jordan and Ronald Gary Jordan, and a sister, Florence Eason.
He is survived by his wife of the home; his son; his granddaughter, Mia, of Omaha, Neb.; one brother, Eafrus Jordan (Ann) of Jonesboro, Ark.; his sisters, Alicetene (Don) Garner of Piggott, Ark., Gail Waggoner of Coulterville, Ill. and Sherry (Roger) Eason of Forrest City, Ark. as well as a host of many other relatives and friends. He was also a very special uncle to many admiring nephews and nieces.
He was retired from the United State Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant following 28 years of loyal service to his country, having been stationed at many military bases in the United States as well as foreign lands. CMS Jordan served with distinction, and was awarded many medals and commendations.
After his retirement from the USAF, he later retired from the State of Nebraska, where he served as a Civil Engineer for 12 years.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, at the Bethany Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Danny Fudge officiating. Interment will be in the Omaha National Cemetery at 1 p.m. with full military honors.
The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
