Congratulations to the Marmaduke Junior Lady Greyhounds as they wrapped-up their perfect season with a conference tournament championship win Saturday afternoon at Imboden. Meanwhile, the Marmaduke boys came up short in their final. The girls beat the host Lady Greyhounds of Sloan-Hendrix to claim the title, along with the regular season championship. The Marmaduke boys fell to the regular season champions, and top seeded, Hillcrest Sreamin' Eagles.

Both the Marmaduke senior teams were than slated to play in their district tournament at Cotter, with the girls slated to play at 4 p.m. against Flippin while the boys will take on Sloan-Hendrix in the 8:30 p.m. late game.

The Rector boys will play their first round district tournament game at Bay Monday evening against Maynard, facing the Tigers for the fourth time this season. The Rector girls drew the host Bay squad as their first round opponents, but will automatically advance to the regional due to the fact there are only four schools fielding girls teams in their district.

The Piggott Mohawks are on a three game winning streak, after beating Melbourne, Corning and Rector and will take on the Manila Lions in their first round game Tuesday evening at Osceola.
