Piggott Car Show Registration Underway
Early registration is now underway for the annual Piggott Heritage Car Show, set for May 19 to 21. Event planners also report this year's show will serve to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and other local organizations.
The usual schedule will continue this year, with a chicken wing dinner and fellowship on Friday evening, sponsored by First National Bank, followed by entertainment at the community center for registered participants.
The show will be going on throughout the day on Saturday at Heritage Park, with the annual cruise to the square that evening. Live entertainment will also be featured on the square Saturday night.
Sunday morning will include a breakfast for the participants at the First United Methodist Church, followed by gospel singing at the community center and the awards ceremony.
This year there will be awards handed out for Best of Show for both vehicles and motorcycles, people's choice, ladies choice and the top 10 vehicles. All of these winners will receive a denim jacket with the car show logo embroidered on the back.
The top five motorcycles will also be recognized, and a number of specialty awards will be handed-out.
Early registration continues through Saturday, April 15, at a rate of $25 per vehicle, with the fee climbing to $35 afterward. Additional vehicles may also be entered by the same owner for $5 each, which will include them in the judging and allow them to take part in the annual cruise. A special "Saturday only" rate of $20 is also available, which entitles the entrant to all the judging and festivities on Saturday, with the exception of the evening meal.
The first 200 registered entries will also receive a metal sign of the car show logo and a dash plaque.
Entries may be mailed to Piggott Heritage Car Show, 193 West Main Street, Piggott, Ark., 72454. Additional information may be obtained by calling Tony Pace at 870 598-2168 or Joe Cole at 901 246-7647. For more up-to-date information you may also visit the Piggott Heritage Car Show facebook page.
