Clarence Floyd Lax, 61, of Lafe, Ark., was born November 4, 1955, in Lafe, to Hershel and Jo Ann Lax. He passed peacefully in his sleep on March 12, 2017.
Clarence was retired from Emerson Electric Co. He enjoyed music, good food and spending time with family and friends.
Clarence was preceded in death by his father, Hershel Lax and one nephew, Bobby Dale Thompson.
Survivors include his mother, Jo Ann Lax of Lafe; his brothers, Jerry (Tonya) Lax of Rector and Terry Lax of Lafe; and sisters, Euva (Jerry) Herren, Martha (Randy) Hardin, Donna (Dennis) Owen and Kat Garner, all of Paragould. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, March 15, at Mitchell Funeral Home of Rector.
Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, March 16, at Ramer's Chapel Methodist Church, with Denny Stormes officiating. Burial will follow in Ramer's Chapel Cemetery.
Rodney Williams, Matt Vincent, Michael Morris, Steve Hill, Clark Jett, Mark Craft, Spencer Herren and Marshall Border will serve as pallbearers.
