Wayne Thomas, 68, of Horseshoe Bend, Ark., passed away March 23, 2017, at his residence.
Born September 11, 1948, in Corning, Ark., he was the son of the late Golden and Clair Bell (Brewer) Thomas. He was united in marriage to Judy Carson on March 4, 1972.
Wayne was a local announcer for KRLW and KCCB radio stations. He was a Vietnam veteran, with 23 years of service as a Combat Medic in the United States Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents; several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Judy of the home; two son's, Timothy Thomas of Horseshoe Bend and Chris (Trina) Thomas of Vacaville Calif.; two grandchildren, Haley and Tyler Thomas both of California; a brother, Jim Thomas of Pocahontas; two sisters, Peggy Thomas and Roxanne Thompson both of Corning; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, in the Bryan Funeral Home Chapel, in Hoxie, with Bro. Jake Guenrich officiating. Interment will follow in the Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery, Walnut Ridge.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 27, at the funeral home.
