'Hound Softball and Baseball Update

Thursday, March 30, 2017

Spring break is over for the Marmaduke Lady Greyhounds, as they resumed the spring softball campaign. The Lady 'Hounds were on the road at Imboden on Tuesday afternoon for a contest with Sloan-Hendrix, beating their hosts soundly by a final of 23-4.

Weather and field conditions permitting, they'll be back on the road at Trumann on Thursday, March 30, for a non-conference game with the Lady Wildcats. And, next Tuesday, April 4, they're scheduled to visit the Rector Lady Cougars.

Meanwhile, the Marmaduke Greyhounds stand at 0-3 on the high school baseball season, and were slated to be in action Tuesday afternoon at Imboden--weather and field conditions permitting.

The 'Hounds are then scheduled to be idle the remainder of the week, with a trip to Rector on the slate for Monday, April 3, and a conference game at Marked Tree scheduled for Tuesday.

Of course, with the roller-coaster weather pattern of the past two weeks it's unclear how many, if any, of the games will be played.
