Easter Activities At Hand

Easter weekend is at hand, with a number of special events and services.
Noon-time services are being held through Friday at the First United Methodist Church of Piggott. Rector First Baptist Church is hosting an egg hunt, and spring fest, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. The egg hunt will be at the football field, with the spring fest to follow at the church--located next to the Post Office.
Emmanuel Baptist Church of Piggott is holding a cross walk beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Good Friday. The route will be from the court square east on Main, then north to the church. There will also be a "glow run" 5K that evening, with a 7 p.m. start. There is a $20 entry fee, with proceeds benefiting their mission projects. They'll hold their annual Easter celebration at 10 a.m. Saturday with food, prizes, games, bounce houses, pony rides and the big egg hunt. A new offering this year is an Easter meal, open to all, at 11 a.m. on Saturday at EBC.

Meanwhile, New Hope Baptist Church at Pollard is hosting an egg hunt from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, and will have games, face painting, jelly bean guess game, soda toss, hot dogs and more.
Sunrise services at FUMC of Piggott will be held at 6:30 a.m. with regular worship service at 9:30, and again at 11 a.m. at Wright's Chapel.
EBC will hold Sunday School at 9 a.m. on Easter Sunday, with worship services to follow at 10.
Additional activities, and services, are also planned at other churches across the region in observance of the Easter holiday.
