Margie Lea Ward
Margie Lea Ward, 73, of Piggott, Ark., passed away May 6, 2017, at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott.
She was born on September 3, 1943, in McDougal, Ark., and was the daughter of the late Oscar Wiley and Erma Elizabeth (Fry) Greene.
She was united in marriage to James Lee Ward on Aug. 9, 1958, and to this union five children were born.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Dennis Greg Ward, and her sisters, Earlene Neeley, Evelyn Loveless and Genevieve Leird.
She is survived by her husband, James Ward of Piggott; son, James Mark Ward and wife Beth of Jenks, Okla.; three daughters, Denise Cate and husband Lindell of Desoto, Mo., Julie Ann Stow of Brookland, Ark. and Lisa Allison of Paragould, Ark.; her grandchildren, Alesia Speers of Broken Arrow, Okla., Lindsay Currie of Desoto, Mo., Lee Stow and wife Jennifer of Jonesboro, Ark., Kelsey Ray and husband Jason of Oak Grove, Ark., Rhianne Hohendorf and husband Shawn of Oklahoma City, Okla., Bryce Ward of Jenks, Okla. and Hunter Clayton of Paragould, Ark.; five great-grandchildren, Austin, Peyton, Rilee, Sara and Colton; brother-in-law, Fletcher Leird of Malden, Mo.; sisters-in-law, Edna Cato, June Sanders and Glenda Hill; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, at Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home in Piggott. Graveside services will follow at 4:30 p.m. at Rogers Chapel Cemetery, located near Crockett, Ark., with Elvis Brandon officiating. Pallbearers are Donald Clayton, Lindell Cate, Jason Ray, Austin Currie, Hunter Clayton and Lee Stow.
Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home, of Piggott, is in charge of the arrangements.
