Harold Holman, 81, of Rector, Ark., passed from this life on June 7, 2017, at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was born November 30, 1935, in Campbell, Mo., to the late Oscar Holman and Beulah (Price) Gordon.
Harold served in the United States Army for three years and retired from the Rector Sportswear. He also helped when needed at the Rector Housing Authority and Glen Sain GMC.
On Sept. 15, 1956, he was married to the love of his life, Nila Mae Gregery. They were married for almost 60 years before she passed away. They were blessed with two sons, Tony Holman and Michael Holman.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Holman and Beulah Gordon; his wife, Nila Holman, his sons, Tony and Michael Holman; his brothers, Charlie Holman, Reggie Holman, Gene Holman, Rick Gordon and Randal Gordon, and a sister, Betty Taylor.
He is survived by his granddaughter, Erica and Tony Dunson of Rector; great-granddaughters, Kiersten and Kenlea Dunson; a brother, Calvin and Becky Gordon of Idaho, and a sister, Debra and Larry Ball of Idaho, along with a host of other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held beginning at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, at the Irby Funeral Home in Rector, with the service starting at 2. Interment will be in the Woodland Heights Cemetery, Rector.
