Rector Museum Sets Treasure Sale

Thursday, July 6, 2017

The Rector Community Museum is holding a Treasure Sale from 5 to 7:30 p.m. each day, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, July 10, 11 and 13. The sale will be held in the Underwood building on Main Street in Rector. Prices on the gift items, china, and crystal will be at only 30 percent of the marked price, resulting in a 70 percent savings for treasure hunters. “Bring your own bagging, sacking, and wrapping materials to safely transport your purchases. Cash and checks only are being accepted as payment,” noted board president and museum director Johnny Williams.

Proceeds from the sale will finance the continuing roof repair project for the Underwood building-which will be the future home of the museum.

Williams also noted Thursday will feature additional special deals for those attending, or returning, to the sale. “Thursday, July 13, is being called “Surprise Night,” so come early, then come back on Thursday. You’ll be glad you did,” he added.
