Patricia Ann Cote
Patricia Jane Cote, 78, of Piggott, Ark., passed away July 25, 2017, at NHC Healthcare in Kennett, Mo. She was born on December 6, 1938, in Nimmons, Ark., and was the daughter of the late Edward Everett and Artie Jewel (French) Mann.
She attended Piggott Schools and her senior year she attended and graduated from Arkansas School for the Deaf. Later, she got her license to be a beauty operator and operated her own shop. She went to California in 1965 and met her husband, Richard Cote, and they were united in marriage 1966. They had three children and lived in California and Delaware before eventually moving back to Piggott.
She later divorced and spent most of her life in the Piggott vicinity. She suffered from rheumatoid arthritis and was in a nursing home the last years of her life. Jane has not had an easy life but with the help of her family, she endured.
She became a Christian at an early age.
She is survived by her two sons, Ricky Cote and wife Peggy Sue of Poplar Bluff, Mo. and Ronnie Cote of Jonesboro, Ark.; daughter, Cheryl Ellis of Mississippi; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two brothers, Eugene Mann and wife Jan Lea of Piggott and Bobby Joe and wife Sunny of Fort Smith, Ark.; sister, Frankie Towne and husband Jack of Hot Springs Village, Ark. and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with the funeral service to follow at 2 with Chris Brantley officiating. Burial is in Piggott Cemetery, Piggott, Ark.
