Shooting In Marmaduke Claims One

Authorities have released the names of the two men involved in the mid-morning shooting at Marmaduke on Friday, Aug. 4. According to the Arkansas State Police, Jeremy R. Green, 38, of Marmaduke died from injuries sustained in the shooting, which occurred at the Valero Station on Highway 49 in the city.

Taken into custody at the scene, apparently without incident, was Adam C. Brown, 37, of Hornersville, Mo. At last report he remained lodged in the Greene County Detention Center at Paragould on $1 million bond charged with first degree murder.

Witnesses at the scene indicated the two men became involved in a verbal altercation which stemmed from a domestic situation, which escalated into the shooting.
