Regina Turner, of Van Buren, Ark., was born on March 22, 1953, in Piggott, Ark., to Lloyd and Sylvia (Agnew) Ray. She passed from this life on August 4, 2017, in Fort Smith, Ark., at the age of 64 years.
Regina was retired from Lowe’s in Van Buren as a credit counselor. Previously, she had worked several years for Montgomery-Ward Department Stores.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Sylvia Ray; an infant sister, LaVonna Ray; two infant brothers, Michael David Ray and Richard Allen Ray; brother-in-law, Johnny McHaffey; and sister-in-law Pat Ray. Regina was united in marriage to Alvis Renee Turner on March 27, 1971. To this union two daughters were born: Jennifer Dawn and Leah Marie.
She is survived by her husband, Alvis; daughters, Jennifer Fournier of Farmington, Ark. and Leah McCoy of Van Buren; her four grandchildren, Michael McDonough and Christopher McCoy of Van Buren, and Nola Fournier and Wyatt Fournier of Farmington; sisters Loretta McHaffey of Piggott and Pat Harper and Rusty of Pasadena, Tex.; one brother Lloyd (Buddy) Ray of Paragould, Ark.; and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 11, at Hoggard and Sons Funeral home of Piggott. A memorial service will afterward, at 11 a.m., in the chapel with Brother Kevin Murray officiating. Interment will be in Mitchell Cemetery, Greenway, Ark.
