Parker Field Improvements Continue

Thursday, August 17, 2017
Thanks to Jamey Parks, and the Cox Lumber Company forklift, the new band bleachers for Parker Field were unloaded with ease last Thursday. The section of bleachers is designed to hold 115 people, and will be used by the Marching Mohawk Band during home football games. Following construction by the Piggott Schools maintenance department an awning will be built to cover the bleachers, giving shelter to the band during bad weather.

Work has continued at Parker Field, the home of the Piggott Mohawk football and track teams. Last Thursday the new bleachers for the Marching Mohawk Band were delivered, and will be constructed in the coming days.

Work is near complete on the concession stand, and the fence is to be erected this week--weather permitting. The track surface is also scheduled to be applied prior to the season opener against the Hornets.
