NASA Solar System Ambassador Kenneth Renshaw, of Piggott, will be hosting an eclipse viewing event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. today, Monday, Aug. 21, on the lawn of the Clay County Courthouse in Piggott.

Renshaw will have a telescope set-up for viewing, and will share NASA certified glasses with those who stop by.

He reports the greatest coverage locally will be around 1:20 p.m. when 95 to 98 percent of the sun is obscured by the moon's shadow.

The public is invited to stop by and witness the phenomenon.
