Josephine Garver, 93, of Corning, Ark., passed away September 27, 2017, at Corning Therapy and Living Center.
Mrs. Garver was a farmer and a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening. She was of the General Baptist faith.
On Sept. 8, 1940, she married Doyle Garver. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1988.
Survivors include her children, Ronnie (Pornchai) Garver of O’Fallon, Mo., Jackie (Melba) Garver of Poplar Bluff, Mo. and Judy Catt of Corning; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; one nephew; and several friends.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Julie (McCleskey) Calhoun; a brother, James Calhoun; a son-in-law, Ronald Catt; and grandson-in-law, Lonnie McKinney.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. with Jamey Bland officiating. Burial will be in Post Oak Cemetery, McDougal, Ark.
