RHS Celebrates Football Homecoming
Rector High School marked homecoming last week with a full schedule of special activities, culminating in Friday night's football game with Salem. The week's events included the usual pageantry, special observances and a return of the annual homecoming parade on Friday afternoon.
During Friday's royalty assembly at RHS, Sydney Wofford was crowned Rector High School football homecoming queen for 2017 among the three senior candidates. She's the daughter of Robert and Dee Wofford. This year's homecoming king is Cougar Nick Mesa, the son of Liz and Lalo Mesa.
Their attendants were Little Mr. and Miss Rector, Brody Hemphill and Macy Stirnaman. Macy is the daughter of Misty and Ben Stirnman and Brody is the son of Brittany and James Hemphill.
Senior maids include Jasmine Rodden, daughter of Jill Galyon, and Haleigh Ellis, daughter of Vanessa Willis and Ellise and Gene Ellis.
The junior maid is Clara Benito, a foreign exchange student who is currently residing with Ashley and Tommy Willhite. Sophomore maid is Cecily Baker, daughter of Jeffrey and Barbara Baker. Freshman maid is Emily Garron, daughter of Jennifer Mason and David Garron. Eighth grade maid is Lacey Underwood, daughter of Margaret Glasgow and Ronald Underwood. Seventh grade maid is Madison Wolfenbarger, daughter of Jeffrey Wolfenbarger.
The court was also introduced during the annual pre-game ceremony Friday evening at Temerian Field.
