CCAC Announces Date Change for Fall Extravaganza
The Clay County Arts Council is alerting patrons of the arts that the date for the upcoming Fall Extravaganza has been changed. The new date will be Friday, Nov. 3, with the event still set for 6:30 p.m., with doors to the Piggott Community Center opening at 6 for browsing silent auction items and updating membership status. The change was made to avoid a conflict with the Thursday night football classic between Piggott and Corning for the Rice Bowl trophy. As a result, the CCAC changed the date to accommodate as many people as possible. Organizers noted the council’s catering, silent auction, entertainment and fashion show plans remain the same.
“Whether your fashion style leans toward glamour or professional casual, you are in for a treat at CCAC’s Fall Extravaganza,” a spokesperson noted. “As dinner concludes and guests are enjoying dessert, sporty or down-home comfy styles for fall and winter will be modeled by your favorite ladies and gentlemen.”
Organizers noted several models for the show have professional credentials, and “several are your friends from the neighborhood, modeling in good humor for a good cause.”
Tickets for the event are $25 for members, and $30 for non-members, and may be obtained from CCAC board members. Advance tickets are also available at Honeysuckle and Home in Rector and The Nest in Piggott.
