CCAC Fall Extravaganza Tickets Remain on Sale
Excitement continues to grow as items are still being collected for the silent auction, a vital part of the Clay County Arts Council’s Fall Extravaganza. The event will be held Friday, Nov. 3, at the Piggott Community Center with the doors scheduled to open at 6 p.m. Once the doors swing-open, ticket holders will have opportunity to browse the items being offered, buy raffle tickets and update membership status prior to dinner.
The offerings will include items from the Dallas gift market, from gift shops throughout the region, along with favorite “antique stores” like Vintage Junkie and home accessories shops like Honeysuckle and Home in Rector. Donations have also been collected from other fabulous shopping venues like The Nest, Katie’s Splash of Class, and Treasure Chest in Piggott.
Informed sources also report a fabulous raffle item is being offered with tickets being sold for a dollar each, or six for five dollars. The item being raffled is an Arthur Court punch bowl and ladle with a retail value of $300. The raffle item will go to the name drawn at the Fall Extravaganza, but the winner need not be present to win. The door prize is also an Arthur Court item--an antler acrylic salad bowl and salad tongs. Organizers noted for that drawing, the winner must be present.
Although patrons be searching for bargains at the silent auction, they should be aware that some items will have a reserve based on the retail value.
“These auction items are donated to support CCAC’s quest to fill the scholarship and grant coffers so guests should bring their check books or plenty of cash to buy gifts,” a spokesperson noted. “ The more funds available allow for more money to be spread among the three schools in Clay County.”
Tickets may be obtained from CCAC board members, and the usual locations in Piggott and Rector. Patrons may call Tracy Cole at 901-496-5000 to have tickets held at will-call. Tickets for the dinner, fashion show, silent auction and fun Foto Booth are $25 for members and $30 for non-members. No tickets will be sold at the door.
