Lady Cougars Drop Games

The Rector Lady Cougars continued to have early-season issues last Thursday, falling at home to Hillcrest by a final of 41-25. The visiting Lady Screamin' Eagles jumped to an early lead, and enjoyed a 12-5 advantage after one. They extended the lead to 19-9 a the half and led 34-15 by the end of three en route to the conference victory.

Junior guard Gabby Clark led the Rector offense with nine points on the night, while Mickayla Smith led all scorers with 19 for Hillcrest.

With the loss the Lady Cougars fall to 1-4 on the season, and 0-2 in conference play.

The girls also dropped a game at Sloan-Hendrix Tuesday evening, playing along with the boys teams. Saturday, n the Williams Baptist College Tournament they fell 59-22 to the Lady Bulldogs of Tuckerman.

The Lady Cougars will return to regular season play on Tuesday, Dec. 5, hosting Ridgefield Christian at RHS.
