Piggott Man Dies in Two Vehicle Crash

The Arkansas State Police report a Piggott man was killed in a two vehicle accident which occurred during the noon hour Monday, Nov. 13, north of Marmaduke. According to reports from the ASP, a 2014 Chevrolet was being driven northbound by Harold Hanna, 88, of Piggott, when the crash occurred.

The narrative indicated the vehicle went left of center, and impacted the left front of a southbound 2011 Hyundai. The Hanna vehicle then travelled back across the northbound lane, and into the ditch on the east side of the highway. The report further noted the vehicle rolled-over four times, coming to rest on its top.

Hanna was killed in the crash, while an unidentified passenger was transported from the scene by air-evac to a Memphis hospital. The driver of the second vehicle was not identified.

The crash occurred near the intersection of U.S. Highway 49, and Greene County Road 434, north of Marmaduke. It was investigated by Trooper Aaron Morphis, of Troop C, who indicated conditions were clear and the pavement was dry at the time.
