Last minute plans are now complete for the upcoming Rector Christmas Parade and Reception, set to begin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 7. Serving as grand marshals this year will be the members of the Rector High School Cougar Band. They're being recognized for winning this year's Class 1A State Marching Championship. Once again this year the parade will begin on North Main, and make its way to the Rector Community Center for the traditional holiday reception. Included will be musical performances, hot chocolate and cookies and a visit by Santa Claus—who'll be available for photos. The event is sponsored each year by the Rector Area Chamber of Commerce, and a prize will be awarded to the best float. Those wanting additional information may contact Kim Romine at 870 595-3035.
