Lillian Lottie Riney
Lillian Lottie Riney, 87, formerly of Piggott, Ark., and now of Wichita, Kan., passed away on December 9, 2017. She was born March 13, 1930, to the late Thomas and Alma (Day) Lane in Columbia, La. She grew up near McDougal, Ark., and attended Corning High School. Lillian was a homemaker most of her adult life but also worked in agriculture. Later in life she enjoyed working as a nurse’s aide at the Piggott Nursing Home.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Riney; her sons, Roy Riney Jr. and Roger Riney; a daughter, Lesia Riney Darr; a brother, Loren Lane, and a sister, Loramae Long Trog.
She is survived by her children, Jacqueline and Neil Campbell of Wichita, Kan., Patricia “Lorie” and Dan Allen of Berryville, Ark., Russell and Rebecca Riney of Fenton, Mo., and Julia and Paul Hovis of Wichita, Kan.; daughter-in-law’s, Barb Riney of St. Louis, Mo., and Delores Riney of San Jose, Calif.; son-in-law, David Darr of Mansfield, Mo.; grandchildren, Angela Wright, Matthew Campbell, Sarah Burgess, Amanda Price, Ryan Riney, Deanna Riney, April Riney, Ellen Graham, Rachel Sroelich and Rodery Riney; great-great grandchildren, Autumn and Lillian Wright, Ruby, Quinn, Iris and Flora Price, Wyatt and Briley Burgess, Lilly and Mason Campbell and Nora Graham; a treasured sister-in-law who was more like a sister, Gloria Riney, along with numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, at the Irby Funeral Home in Rector. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Piggott Cemetery, Piggott, Ark.
