Piggott FFA Teams Post Top Performances

Members of the Piggott High School FFA Leadership Development Teams had a very productive day at the Sub-Area Contest held Tuesday, Dec. 5, at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. With their top finishes they also qualified for the state convention, set for April.

Bringing home first place finishes were the opening and closing team and parliamentary procedure team. The members of the opening and closing team include, president Brent Gossett, vice president Chandler Smart, secretary Morgan Smart, treasurer Madison Reeves, reporter Emma Shaw, advisor Macey Williams and sentinel Austin Fair.

The members of the parliamentary procedure team includes, chair Hannah Powell, first chair Molly Williams, second chair Molly Lambert, third chair Ethan Holcomb, fourth chair Allison Kilbreath and fifth chair Hannah Smart.

Also notching first places were Kaylee Smith for extemporaneous public speaking and Presley Tullos for discussion meet. Meanwhile, Maggie Williams was second in prepared public speaking while Katelyn Jackson finished in fifth place.

The PHS chapter also brought home two top finishes in creed, as Logan Ralph was third and Angel Garcia finished in sixth place.

The adviser for the Piggott High School FFA chapter is Casey Simpson.
