Members of the Rector LEGO team traveled to Searcy on Saturday, Dec. 9, to compete in the regional qualifier. What resulted was a long day of presentations, which included project, core values and robot designs. Afterward, the team had the chance to run their robot missions, and thanks to their performance they qualified to compete in the state tournament for the third year in a row.

Members of the team include fourth graders Jaxon Burns and Charlie Bearden; fifth graders Emma Holmes, Austin Simmons and Maggie Rabjohn and sixth graders Drew Henderson, Carter Hill, Sophia Hill, Saxen Sharp and Kayeleigh Steward.

The RES LEGO team will now be traveling to Fayetteville on Jan. 19 and 20, to compete in the state tournament on the campus of the University of Arkansas. The team is coached by Lance Mabrey.
