Mervil Ervin, 81, of Clarkton, Mo., passed away January 4, 2018, at his home.
He was born on December 10, 1936, in Corning, Ark., and was the son of Fred and Bessie Irene (Hefner) Ervin.
He was united in marriage to Beulah Kattie Cashion on Jan. 19, 1990.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Freddie Ervin; and his sister, Barbara Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Beulah Kattie Ervin of Clarkton, Mo.; four sons; two daughters; several grandchildren; a stepson, Alan Robertson (Twyla) of Malden, Mo.; three stepdaughters, Mary Robertson of Malden, Mo., Annette Shephard of Campbell, Mo. and Krystal Gaspar of Clarkton, Mo.; step grandchildren, Israel Gaspar and Cristian Alexander Gasper; his brothers, Carmon Ervin (Betty) of Austin, Tex., Floyd Ervin (Linda) of Paragould, Ark., Glendal Ervin (Una) of Corning, Ark., Kenneth Ervin of Pocahontas, Ark., Olen Ervin (Teresa) of Paragould, Ark., James Ervin (Janice) of Corning, Ark. and Gary Ervin of Paragould, Ark.; his sisters, Mazie Raney, Alice Williams and Louise Barksdale, all of Corning, Ark.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 9, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with William Hill officiating. Burial is in New Hope Cemetery in Pollard, Ark. Pallbearers are Spike Quawls, Cesar Gaspar, Allen Robertson, Chris Robertson, Kenny Blagg and Jose Rivera.
Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Ark., is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
