Both Marmaduke Greyhound basketball teams completed sweeps prior to the onslaught of winter weather, with the boys beating EPC while the girls downed BIC. Both squads were set to resume play Tuesday evening with a home set against Sloan-Hendrix, but as of press time those games were also likely to be called due to the weather.

The Lady Greyhounds extended their record to 21-6, and remained unbeaten in conference at 8-0, with a 20 point win over Buffalo Island Central last week. The Lady 'Hounds raced to an 18-9 lead after one, and extended it to 30-13 by the break enroute to the 56-36 win.

In the junior high game the Lady 'Hounds took a 49-21 decision, as they moved their record to 20-1 on the season.

The boy's teams took on East Poinsett County last week, with the senior squad holding on late for a 58-55 win. With the victory the MHS Greyhounds move to 15-9 on the season and 6-2 in blended conference play.

The junior boys also notched a win over the Warriors by a score of 58-47, as they move to 15-5 on the season.
