The Piggott Lady Mohawks returned to regular season play Monday night with a home set with Walnut Ridge. The Tribe played even with the Lady Bobcats throughout much of the contest, but faded late and dropped a 53-45 conference decision.

The two teams played dead-even in the first quarter, and were tied 10-10 entering the second. The Tribe made a run late in the first half, and enjoyed a 27-20 lead at intermission.

But, the Lady Bobcats adjusted at halftime, and outscored their hosts 21-8 in the third to take a 41-35 advantage into the fourth quarter. Down the stretch they extended the lead to eight, setting the final score.

Pacing the Piggott offensive effort was Abby Dutka with 17 while Taylor Seal was also in double figures with 12 points in the loss.

The Lady Bobcats also took the junior high game Monday night, beating the young Lady Mohawks by a field goal, 37-35. As for the seventh grade game, it went to the Tribe by a final of 20-13, spoiling the WR sweep.
