Cecil Bradford Simpson
Cecil Bradford Simpson, 92, of Rector, Ark., passed away on February 10, 2018, at UAMS in Little Rock, Ark. He was born March 29, 1925, to the late Shelly and Gertie (Tinsley) Simpson.
His favorite times were family get-togethers, traveling with family and friends and teaching Sunday School. He was a farmer for over 70 years.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Elleta Simpson;
a daughter, Teressa Nelson, and a sister Cuaera DeVore.
He is survived by a son, Danny and Terry Simpson; a daughter, Melissa and Allen
Newell of Marmaduke, Ark.; his grandchildren, Krystal and Bryan Hooten of Paragould, Ark., Kris Nelson of Paragould, Ark., Bethany and Dustin Burns of Boydsville, Ark., Sarah Simpson of Boydsville, Ark., Emily Newell of Marmaduke, Ark. and Erin Newell of Marmaduke, Ark.; great-grandchildren: Max, Sam and Braxton Hooten; Kaelyn, Jaxon, Devin and Aidan Burns; and Mike and Aaron Sherfield; and a great-great grandchild, Garrett Sherfield.
Visitation will be held beginning at 12 noon on Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Irby Funeral Home in Rector. Services will be held beginning at 2 p.m. in the Irby Funeral Home Chapel, in Rector, with George Bearden and Eddie Wright officiating.
Interment will be in the Salem Cemetery in Boydsville.
