Donald Lex Haddon

Donald Lex Haddon, son of the late Lex Haddon and Ruth (McCumber) Haddon, was born May 21, 1935, in Rector, Ark., and departed this life on February 13, 2018, at the age of 82 years. Donald married Norma Simmons on Sept. 8, 1983, in Carson City, Nev.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Haddon of Mountain Home, Ark.; one son, Glen Haddon and Laura of London, England; three step-daughters, Pattie Houston of Mountain Home, Ark., Toni Whitehorn of Kennett, Mo. And Dianna Harris and Glen of Kennett, Mo.; Marge Lorea of Roseville, Calif.; six grandchildren, Ruth Houston, Tallulah Haddon, Mirabelle Haddon, Dustin Harris, Justin Harris and Lendsi Barnett; seven great-grandchildren and other relatives and many friends.

Don was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Haddon and John L. Haddon, and three sisters, Dorothy McCord, Arva Mae Lussis and Oleta Wyss.

Donald was of Mountain Home, Ark., and passed away at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home.

Donald served his country in the United States Army at the end of World War II.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, Mo. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16, in the McDaniel Chapel, in Kennett, with Reverend Johnny Bogle officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Arik Cruz, Craig Broadway, Tim Risinger, Dave Potts, Allen Wyss and Tommy Risinger.

McDaniel Funeral Service, of Kennett, is in charge of the arrangements.
