The Rector Cougars dropped a conference loss to Sloan-Hendrix last Thursday, April 5, then rebounded with lopsided wins on Friday and Saturday. The boys in blue hosted Ridgefield Christian Wednesday at the sports complex and got a big 8-1 conference win behind Hunter McNeely's no-hitters. They are scheduled to visit Hillcrest on Thursday.

The Cougars took on the Greyhounds of Sloan-Hendrix last Thursday, falling by a final score of 16-5. The following day they battled cold and windy conditions, beating Crowleys Ridge Academy 15-0 by way of the run rule in a home tilt. On Saturday, they blasted the Marmaduke Greyhounds 23-3 in non-conference play on the road, plating seven runs in the first and 14 in the second, en route to the win. Wednesday they hosted the Warriors, and backed-up McNeely's performance on the mound with the 8-1 win over RCS.

With the win over the Warriors, the Cougars extend their season record to 8-5 overall and 7-2 in conference play. In addition to Wednesday's home game, and Thursday's road contest at Strawberry, the Cougars are slated to visit Osceola on Monday, April 16, with a trip to Maynard set for the following day, Tuesday, April 17.
