Poll Worker Training Scheduled

Thursday, April 12, 2018

Poll worker training for Clay County will be held three times in the coming weeks according to county election coordinator Karen Cagle. “In order to work at the polls in any election in Clay County during the next two years, training must be completed at this time,” Cagle noted. “All former poll workers must also be re-trained in order to work.”

The first training will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, at the Rector Community Center. The second will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 30, at the M.B. Ainley Community Center in Corning. The final session will be held the following evening, as the training will be offered beginning at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, at the Piggott Community Center.

“If you have never been a poll worker, and would be interested in training please call me for more information,” Cagle added. “New trainees are always welcome. Also, if you would be interested in assisting with the voting machines, you can call me for more information on that as well.”

The preferrential primaries will be held Tuesday, May 22.

Those wanting information about the poll worker training, or being a volunteer on election night, may contact Cagle at 870 240-3295.
