Lady Mohawk Season Ends in District

Thursday, May 3, 2018

The Piggott Lady Mohawk softball team ended their season in the first round of the district tournament at Wilson last week, falling to the host Lady Colts 10-0.

Senior Lexi Herren got the start, and took the loss, as the Tribe ends their season. Hannah Powell came on in relief but didn't figure in the decision.

Only three Piggott players got hits on the day, as Rivercrest's Baillee Henard pitched the shut-out. Herren and Powell were both 1 for 2 on the day, while Madison Rahn was 1 for 1 at the plate.

With the loss, Coach Melissa Hopkins' squad finished the campaign with an overall record of 4-19 and 2-12 in blended conference play. Playing their final game for the Tribe were seniors Herren, Powell and Allison Kilbreath.
