At a signing ceremony held Friday, May 11, in Paragould, the Crowley's Ridge College Pioneer Baseball team gained a new student-athlete. During the ceremony Josh Lyman, from Piggott High School, signed his letter of intent to be a pitcher and third baseman for the Pioneers' 2018-2019 season.

Lyman was a key part of the Piggott Mohawk baseball team which won District Runner-Up this year, and advanced to the 3A state tournament. He also received All-Conference honors for his individual performance. A multi-sport athlete, he was also a member of the district doubles championship team in tennis last fall, and was an All-State honorable mention. Lyman also excelled on the basketball court during his time at PHS.

"Josh is a good addition to our team. He's got a lot of talent on the mound and at the plate. We're excited to have him join us,"CRC Head Coach Brenden Camp said. “Welcome to the Pioneer family, Josh!”
